- DIRECT Affordable Quality Health Care -
Rich Goddard MD
Welcome!
Meet Dr. Rich Goddard
"First, Do No Harm"
With 40 years of experience, I have witnessed how healthcare has drastically changed. Now, it often harms both the patient's best interest and the ability of doctors to provide needed care, making healthcare overcomplicated and beholden to insurance and bureaucratic edicts. The bottom line: Healthcare has become compromised and expensive.
So, in order to help you bypass high costs and red tape I have opened my own practice to become your personal and private physician. My priority is to give you a true Doctor-Patient experience without bureaucratic edicts and high deductibles and premiums. I will be offering you affordable Direct-Pay Care.
What is Direct Care?
Direct care essentially harkens back to the days of the family doctor who engaged with the patient, taking phone calls and even making house calls as needed. The provider contracts directly with the patient for basic healthcare services, much as it was in the days before health insurance took over the way patients are cared for with high premiums, costs deductibles, out-of-pocket payments and industry protocols that limit time with the doctor and real care for the patient. The trend is now turning back to direct care as a preferred model of care delivery. This means I charge a basic $99 rate for a standard visits to be paid at the time of service.

In order to keep costs down and patient time up, I don't accept insurance. I accept cash, Venmo, Paypal, credit, debit and HSA accounts. Individuals may also enroll in monthly or yearly subscriptions plans for additional savings that offer unlimited standard office visits. Most patients find Direct Pay is the best and most affordable model compared to the high cost of monthly insurance premiums, high out of pocket deductibles and co-pays. Best of all my patients and I have a true Dr/Patient patient experience as your personal, private, highly skilled physician-- NO long waits, high costs and paper work headaches with insurance companies.

What Sets Me Apart?
My practice is different. I am your personal, private physician. This difference allows me to prioritize my patients and their care in ways that challenge the model used by most clinics today. From the inviting and inclusive atmosphere to my empathetic approach, I want to ensure patients depart feeling great about their experience, from start to finish.
What about cost? My fresh approach to pricing with direct pay billing is not only affordable, but also makes quality healthcare more accessible to everyone. You may be asking yourself, “Doesn’t ‘direct pay’ imply that insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid can’t be used to cover the cost of a patient’s visit?” In a way, yes. And while this may cause apprehension, feel assured that this approach allows me to keep prices affordable, and even more importantly, preserves your freedom to choose a path of care that best fits your needs, as well as your budget.
What about insurance? Well, limits imposed by insurance can often mean you are subjected to unnecessary tests to justify an expense, which can prolong your journey to answers and wellness. Some required testing may not even be covered by insurance, which means paying more out of pocket for expensive procedures that may not be needed at all. However we may be able to provide claim forms for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement of visits and lab tests.
Payments are always to be made in FULL at time of service via Cash, Credit or Debit, PayPal, Venmo, or HSA accounts. As mentioned we may provide claim forms for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
